Guatemala Art Inspired

Hello Royal Beauties! Ok, so as some of you know, I have a passion for Central America! I have been to Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Honduras, and Guatemala and I speak spanish!! Those countries are beautiful - in terms of culture, land, and people! I LOVE it. So! I have this painting of Lake Atitlan up in my room and I wanted to do a makeup look off of it because the colors were so beautiful!

And here is the look that I came up with off of this beautiful picture!!

And that is it! Very bright, lots of fun:) I used my 120 palette to create this look. I really hope you guys like  it! Email me if you have a picture and you would want me to create a look off of it! :) Be creative and be inspired! Be YOU!

Sassy Classy School Girl - Look #3

I haven't been doing enough of these looks, so I apologize beautiful girls! SO! This is a very simple and very quick look to do any school or work day when you are a little crunched on time. It is inspired by a look from Rihanna's music video You Da One. Very simple, very chic, and very classy. :) And THAT is what we want! Here is a picture from the music video that inspired this School Girl look:

And here is the Sassy Classy School Girl look that came out of it!! :)

3 STEPS TO GETTING THIS LOOK:

1. Simple Eyes - Apply a primer (optional, but strongly recommended). Next apply an eyeshadow that is close to your skin tone - shimmery or matte, whichever you prefer. Then take a deeper brown eyeshadow and work it from the outer corner of your upper lid and bring it 3/4 of the way into your crease, towards the inner corner of your lid. Take some of that same shade of the darker brown, and gently brush it on the outer 1/3 of your lower lid. Curl your lashes (optional). Apply 1-2 coats of your favorite mascara on the upper lashes, and one very light coat on the bottom lashes.

2. Flawless Face - Apply a coat of your favorite foundation, and then conceal any trouble spots that you still see (redness, dark areas, blemishes). Add a bronzer, or a contour shade, or a blush, anything to give your face a more defined shape.

3. Lovely Lips - Apply a fairly soft, but deep, shade of lipstick - or just simply whatever your favorite is! You can choose to line your lips with a slightly darker lip pencil if you want to go for a sexier look! ;)

And that is all!!! Once again, I really hope you guys liked this post and that it inspires you and gives you ideas and inspiration to create your own simple on-the-go looks! Love you all! Stay strong!

Vogue with Blues?!

Ha, ok so this kind of caught my attention and I wanted to see what you guys thought... who has heard of Nicki Minaj and her bold style? Ya, I thought so. Well check out her look for her Vogue shoot:

Wow! Talk about some bold colors! While this isn't that surprising for this star and her reputation, the outfit is very fashion-forward for the season. And, teal is one of the biggest colors for 2012, so I guess she is headed in the right direction! Tell me your thoughts... what other celebs have caught your attention so far in 2012? Comment and email me... Blessings Beauties!

Abstract #1 - Golden Dream

Hey guys! So I am going to be starting another series, and it will be based off of abstract art and abstract pictures that I find online. This is the first of this new series! So comment and tell me what you think of the look and the ideas for this series! This was the picture:

It has got a great color scheme. The base of it is the gold, copper, and brown tones, with green and teal accents. So seeing this picture, I created this eyeshadow look....

I hope you like it! Stay tuned for more looks in the series! If you find an abstract picture that you really like, email it to me and I will post it on my blog along with the look that I create based off of that picture! Would love to hear your feedback! Don't be afraid to BE YOU! I love you all :))

Sexy Weekend Fun!

Ok, so a huge trend that I am seeing this season is leggings and a long shirt and boots. So! This Fabulous Fashion Friday is more of a weekend or party or date night outfit!

Grab a pair of simple black leggings, and a long, cute, fun shirt (short-sleeve or long-sleeve) with a design or bling or lots of colors... pick your favorite! Pick the one that you feel great in! And then grab a pair of boots, heels or flats, and you are good to go! If you want you can throw a cardigan or vest or little jacket over it. But for accessories, I would strongly recommend a belt, to accentuate your waist. And then add some bracelets and rings to pull it all together!! This is a quick look at my makeup... I will post more pics of this look later this weekend...

Have a Fabulous Fashion Friday all you Beauties! Enjoy your weekend! Don't forget to smile! I hope this inspires you to create your own version of this kind of an outfit! :)) Blessings! xoxoxo

Sadies!!

Last night was the Sadies dance for Valor Christian High School! :) It was super fun, I loved dancing and seeing all my friends - despite getting completely lost on the way there! I had so much fun! It was a great experience and I left it with some great memories. :) So! I wanted to share with you guys what I wore and what my makeup looked like!!

I wore this cute little purple button up dress, it went midway down my thighs, with black leggings and my favorite purple vans! And then I accessorized with bracelets, rings, and a cute little necklace. Moving on to my makeup... Here are some shots of what it looked like:

It was purple and black with sparkles - what else do you need?! ;) It was super fun to create, and after 4 tries I finally came up with something that I liked and that looked good! I used colors from my Sleek "Me Myself and Eye" palette, as well as my Maybelline "Color Explosion" eyeshadow in Amethyst Ablaze. I hope you like what you see and get ideas from this bold sparkly look! Blessings! Thank you for your support!!! Xoxo

Sweet and Simple

It's Fabulous Fashion Friday once again! And only in the state of Colorado can you go from being snowed inside all day long (Snow Day!) and exactly a week later have sunny weather and warm enough to wear short sleeves! :)
So! This is a very simple, fun, sassy, casual look, that ANYONE can put together and pull off.

For an outfit like this, take any short sleeve top that is loose, and baggy - it can have a pattern or design or just be solid. Since mine had a unique design, I only wore a really simple little necklace, if it is a solid top then I would suggest that you pair it with a bigger, more extravagant necklace. But no matter what your top is like bracelets are ESSENTIAL! Don't be afraid of mixing and matching colors and designs and "feels" of the bracelets to get a bold unique look. :) Throw some bangles on, maybe a watch and some other random things and bam! Its a style that is YOU! Also, I would recommend adding some rings to jazz those fingers up a little more. Next moving down to the jeans... Wear fitted jeans (skinny, bootcut, whatever your favorite is) that are medium to dark wash. And then throw on a belt to put the whole thing together and make your waist look defined. And then just wear your favorite pair of tennis shoes, or boots to finish it off. My makeup for this look, I kept it simple as well.

Just used a subtle shimmery skin-toned eyeshadow for my lid (I used "sin" from Urban Decay). And then put a colored eyeliner that would make my eyes stand out a little more. For my face, just put on my blush and a little bronzer and put a nude lipstick on my lips and I was ready to go!:) (PS - you might be seeing more about this look in the near future!!) ;)
So that is it for this week's Fabulous Fashion Friday! Hope you liked it! And I hope it inspires you to put your own sweet and simple look together! Blessings my beautiful friends! God loves you... don't forget to smile.... :) Xoxoxo

Cozy Winter Style

This is this week's Fabulous Fashion Friday... Well Sunday. :P
It is something that is warm and can be modified to fit your personal style... make it YOU! :) Hopefully this just inspires you and gives you some ideas of new things that you can put out of your closet and put together to make an outfit this winter!

So! To get this kind of a look, take a warmer (thicker) plain dress, or long sweater, and pair it with some leggings or tights. Add a pair of your favorite boots with it too! Next, add a belt, to accentuate your hips and draw attention to the curves of your body. Don't forget to add some jewelry! So important! Put on a big, long necklace and some bracelets, and if you want a watch and some rings. All of this will add up and make you look put together and show people you know what you are doing and know you are beautiful!! :)) Here are some pictures of my makeup:

I would suggest using eyeshadow that contrasts with the color dress you are wearing, this will draw attention to your face and your eyes. Then I just put some blush on with a nude lip stick to finish it off! And that is all for this delayed Fashion Friday! I hope you guys had a great weekend, and I will talk to you later this week... Blessings beauties!:)

With much love from me and my dear little Penny! Xoxo

Snow Day!

Hello all of my dear friends! So, yes today is Friday, but there will be no Fabulous Fashion Friday today, because it is snowing like crazy and I am not gonna get out of my pjs! ;) Instead, I will be posting the "Fabulous Fashion Friday" on Sunday this week. But, to give you guys something to read today, I am posting a "how-to" that my friend Sara did on her nails! Something fun that you guys can try to do!

Here is a picture:

Here is how she did them:

Newspaper Nails
So to do these nails, first you need to prep your nails by using a nail scrubber to get all the dirt out of your nails and a nail file to get them the shape you need! If you don't have either of those 2 things it isn't super important. When your nails are ready take any color you want. Usually light colors work best. I used a Essie in Marshmallow. Then if its a light color put as many coats on it as you need so it isn't see threw. Then let your nails dry completely! Then when they are done drying, cut out 10 small squares of newspaper. Then take bottled water pour it into a cup and stick your nail in, and pull it straight out. Make sure your whole nail was in the water. Then right after you take it out, take one of your square pieces of newspaper and stick it on your nail the way you want. Then with your free fingers, press super hard trying not to move it. Press for about 10 seconds and then jest press around the corners. Then you think its done pull the newspaper off slowly. And after you get the look you want make sure and don't touch your nail for about 5-10 minutes. Because its water and not rubbing alcohol it will rub off super easy. Let it dry then after that you can slowly and gently put your top coat on! And you got Newspaper Nails! :)

Hope you guys enjoyed and that you have some fun with this and it inspires you to do more cool things with your nails! Talk to you on Sunday! Blessings! xoxo
